Megan Walsh grew up in the Catskill Mountain region of upstate New York. She started dancing at the age of five and was immediately hooked by the freedom and joy she felt while in motion. Megan's yoga practice began twelve years ago at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York at the age of 18, where she was exposed to some of the most remarkable spiritual teachers in the world today. Several years later she graduated from college with a degree in Theater Performance. Megan moved to New York in 2002 to pursue her career as an actor, but felt a stronger pull to delve deeper into her love of yoga. In 2003 she completed an 100 hour training in Anusara Yoga with Amy Ippoliti at Vira Yoga. She later became a certified yoga teacher through Om Yoga Center under the tutelage of Margi Young and Sarah Trelease. Megan is grateful to all of the teachers with whom she has studied, including Cyndi Lee, John Friend, Ana Forrest and Max Strom. Megan teaches from her own practice, where she values alignment, breath, constant exploration and an open heart.
