Yuval Boim (RYT) has been practicing yoga since 1997. He became fascinated with human movement as a student at Boston University College of Fine Arts. He continued his theatre and movement training at the London International School of Performing Arts and Naropa University where he received his MFA in Lecoq-Based Actor Created Physical Theatre. He has been studying the way people move through the world physiologically, psychologically and spiritually for the past 12 years and has taught in France, the UK, and across the US. Some teachers that have been an inspiration include Richard Freeman, Jeanmarie Peillilo, Jess Gronholm, Jon Casotta, Alan Finger, Mary Dunn, Twee Merrigan and Thomas Prattki. Yuval's teaching style draws from a variety of traditions — slow, dynamic flow and awareness of breath from Vinyasa, careful attention to alignment from Iyengar, the vigor of Ashtanga and the subtlety of ISHTA. In his classes he awakens each student's spirit of creativity through exploration of the fun of having a body that moves by sequencing a safe, challenging, and creative practice that guides the practitioner toward adventure, healing, and integration.
